Painting Experience near Giverny

While driving you along the Seine river valley to the village in Normandy where Claude Monet lived from 1883 to 1926, your guide will retrace the painter's life and his sources of inspiration.

You will then visit his house and studio and the gardens he created as a subject for his paintings. See the ponds and the Japanese bridges built with a lock on the tiny Epte river for the Water Lilies series.

At a 10 mn drive from Giverny, you will be received at the Barn of the Impressionists for a lunch with local Normand products, with wine and soft drink included

After lunch, you will live a painting experience within a duration of about 2h30 with Michel Valt, a professional painter who also has been a tour guide around the world for travelers. He will show you his technique of knife painting with oil, and you will be able to create your own work on canvas and be given a box to carry it home safely while it is drying!

You don’t have to be an experienced painter; you can be a complete beginner and let your creativity go freely; the aim of the class is for you to enjoy a special moment and learn about painting and the Impressionists history and technique.

In spring and Summer, when the weather allows, you will enjoy the workshop outside in the park

Drive back to Paris on a scenic road overlooking the Seine river valley or through and cross beautiful landscape and charming villages such as la Roche Guyon and Vétheuil or through the Vexin Regional Natural Park

The tour is available from April 1st to November 1st (opening period of Monet’s house and gardens). Outside this period, the tour is possible with a visit to the “Musée des impressionnismes” in Giverny instead of Monet’s house
